John’s role at Affinity involves document automation using Word, HotDocs, XpressDox, Innova, or Forte; integrating document automation into case management programs and databases; creating custom Word ribbons and templates; and conducting legal-specific Word and PDF training. John previously practiced personal injury and appellate law. He obtained a computer and electrical engineering degree from Ohio State University and passed the patent bar. He combined these skills at Affinity to provide automation solutions for law firms.
John’s superpower is his ability to hyper-focus on a project and bridge the knowledge gap between legal work and technology. Building solutions to previously unsolvable problems is his favorite part of his job.
John has a black belt in judo and teaches at least once a week.
